This is the new tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 +

Samsung has presented important news today, among which are the two new tablets of the company that are part of this new Galaxy S7 series, with two models that vary in the size of the screen and in other aspects that we tell you then.

As we mentioned, the differences on this occasion are significant between the two models due to the fact that Samsung intends to position both in different price ranges, with the Galaxy S7 at an entry price and the S7 + struggling in the more premium range against the iPad. Pro.

Galaxy S7 vs Galaxy S7 +: Main differences

We start from the fact that the Galaxy S7 has an 11-inch screen and a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, compared to the 12.4 inches of the S7 + model with a higher resolution of 1752 x 2800.

In addition, in order to lower the cost of the configuration of the smallest, Samsung has chosen to integrate a screen with an IPS panel compared to the Super AMOLED type of the S7 +. Of course, both share a refresh rate of 120 Hz with which we will achieve exceptional fluidity in the handling of the system.

Another palpable difference is the way the fingerprint sensor is implemented. The standard S7 model does it in the screen’s power button located on the side, while the S7 + is optical and is embedded under the tablet screen with an improved response.

The capacities of the batteries of each model also differ in order to power the higher consumption that an AMOLED panel has, which is also larger. Thus, the S7 + is 10,090 mAh compared to 7040 mAh of the standard S7. Both models have 45W fast charging.

There is also a generational leap in the photography section compared to previous generations of Galaxy Tab S6, combining a 13 MP rear camera with the quality of an 8 MP front camera.

What about the S Pen?

You should know that the S-Pen that accompanies both S7 and S7 + tablets has been improved with an improved latency that for that matter, uses the same technology that you can find in the S-Pen stylus of the new Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra .

According to the first impressions we get, after using the devices for a few moments, writing with the new pencil is like doing it with a real pen without delays or lack of precision thanks to the latency of less than 9 milliseconds.

What do the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 + have in common?

If there is something that both tablets share, we detect it inside, since both are based on the use of the eight-core Snapdragon 865+ SoC processor with which Samsung has tried to give its equipment maximum performance.

The clock speeds of this chip reach 3.09 GHz, in addition to being accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, expandable through a microSD card slot that Samsung maintains in this range.

Prices and where to buy

The new Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 + will be available for sale throughout this month of August at a recommended price of € 699 for the smallest model, and € 899 for the Galaxy Tab S7 + with better screen.
