Although its first launch took place last June in China, the company’s home country, the Oppo Reno 4 series has now reached the European market. Thus, the new Oppo smartphones can now also be purchased in Spain.

The Reno 4 series is technically made up of eight devices in total, but for now the Chinese company has decided to launch only three of them in Europe. In its announcement on October 1, Oppo has welcomed the Reno 4 Z 5G, Reno 4 5G, and Reno 4 Pro 5G.

We would have omitted the “5G” from the device name if it were the same as the 4G model but with a 5G modem, but in the case of the Reno 4 5G and Reno 4 Pro 5G, they are quite different from their equivalents without 4G capability, starting with the cameras.

Don’t miss this summary of the highlights of the new Oppo phones .

Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G

The Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G is the flagship of the Reno 4 series. This 5G mobile includes the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset , a component that is backed by a lot of RAM and even more storage space.

The most prominent feature of its triple camera is not the 48 MP main lens, but rather the 12 MP Sony IMX708 sensor (which we also find on the Oppo Find X2). It is made primarily with video recording in mind.

This sensor adheres to the 16: 9 aspect ratio natively and allows the device to record video in “Ultra Night Wide”, that is, video in ultra wide angle in low light conditions. Results should outperform rivals.

As if this were not enough, the Pro 5G includes Oppo’s UltraSteady 3.0 stabilization on both the rear and front cameras. What’s more, there is a cinema mode to control the cameras manually, something that rivals the cinematic capabilities of the Nokia 8.3 5G.

Oppo Reno 4 5G

Like the Pro, the standard Reno 4 5G has a triple rear camera, a Snapdragon 765G processor and the impressive 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charge that allows you to charge your phone to 100% in less than 40 minutes.

This model is also available in the same blue (Galactic Blue) and black (Space Black) as the Pro, although with a few minor differences. The black model, for example, includes the engraving that the company has patented as “Reno Glow.”

This, in addition to giving it a unique and very attractive visual quality for everyone who uses it, the Chinese company also ensures that it allows no fingerprints to remain on the device. It will certainly have to be checked.

The OLED screen of the standard model does not have a high refresh rate and is also flat, and not curved. The curvature we do see at the back, which allows to wrap the 7.8 mm thickness of the device.

As expected, the rear camera setup is not as spectacular as on the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G, but, unlike this one, the front camera includes a 2 MP depth sensor.

Oppo Reno 4 Z 5G

Aside from some changes to the color offering and that unique memory and storage configuration, the cheapest addition to the Oppo launch in the European market is essentially a new version of the Oppo A92s.

The Reno 4 Z 5G is the largest model, but in this case the OLED technology changes for the LCD to be able to accompany the screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz but without the price being affected.

It is the first smartphone to debut the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chip internationally, undoubtedly one of the cheapest 5G-compatible SoCs on the market today.

Despite having the same RAM and storage as the Reno 4 5G, in addition to the processor, a fast charge and a simpler camera configuration have also had to be included, although the rear camera has one more lens.

Price and availability of the Oppo Reno 4 Z 5G, Reno 4 5G and Reno 4 Pro 5G

In addition to focusing on design, cameras and entertainment, with the Reno 4 family, Oppo wants to show the world its large catalog of terminals compatible with 5G connectivity.

In this way, the Reno 4 Z 5G is the cheapest 5G mobile of the company. At € 399, it is even below the Oppo Find X2 Lite . The Reno 4 5G costs € 599 and the Reno 4 Pro 5G costs € 799. The latter is situated between the Oppo Find X2 Neo and the Oppo Find X2.

The new devices will be put on sale between October and November, but the exact date is unknown. We do know that they will be available on the Oppo website , in stores such as MediaMarkt and Amazon and in the operators Movistar , Vodafone , Orange and Yoigo .
