mandalorian season 2 mando baby yoda thumb800 1

At last! The second season of The Mandalorian is out now, with Mando and Baby Yoda popping up on our screens with a new episode every week. Also, Disney is already talking about plans to shoot a third season.

Best of all, since Disney + is already available all over the world, we don’t need to use a VPN to watch the new episodes if they hadn’t arrived in our country yet.

It’s worth remembering that this isn’t the only live-action Star Wars series on Disney +. Disney is also working on a Rogue One prequel series starring Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk, and Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in another spinoff series after that, while Russian doll creator Leslye Headland is working. in his own untitled series after that.

So … the fans of Star Wars are in luck.

When does the second season The Mandalorian start?

Season two has started rolling. Like the first season, the episodes will air once a week, so don’t expect the entire season in one go. You can see the full schedule of the episodes below:

The Mandalorian season 2, episode 3: November 13
The Mandalorian season 2, episode 4: November 20
The Mandalorian season 2, episode 5: November 27
The Mandalorian season 2, episode 6: December 4
The Mandalorian season 2, episode 7: December 11

Is there a trailer for the second season of The Mandalorian?

Yes. The first trailer for the second season of The Mandalorian is here. You can see it below:

New character art has also been released for Season 2, featuring The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, Greef Karga, and El Niño. Take a look below:

A second trailer was also shown during ESPN’s Monday night soccer show. You can see it below:

Who is in the cast?

The main role is Pedro Pascal, better known as Prince Oberyn in Game of Thrones and Javier Peña in Narcos, and who will star in the next Wonder Woman 1984.

We know he will be joined by returning actors, including former MMA star Gina Carano, Rocky’s Carl Weathers, and Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito.

Rosario Dawson has been cast in a role in the second season. That would be quite exciting, but even better is what she’s playing: Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi Padawan from the animated show Clone Wars (which recently wrapped up its seventh and final season on Disney +).

It also won’t be the only familiar face of Clone Wars. Katee Sackhoff is said to play Bo-Katan Kryze, a Mandalorian warrior who had already voiced in the Clone Wars and Rebels series, with a fairly prominent role in the final Clone Wars arc.

It’s also important because he once wielded the darksaber, the elegant Mandalorian energy sword that was briefly seen in the season one finale.

Temuera Morrison is even expected to appear again. That name may not be familiar, but it’s important – he played Jango Fett in the movie “Attack of the Clones,” and it has been reported that he will have a “small role” in the second season of the Mandalorian as the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett Jango’s clone / son, it’s complicated).

Fett obviously died in the Well of Sarlacc on Return of the Jedi, but dying rarely stops someone in the Star Wars universe for long.

Timothy Olyphant will also be joining for a second season, but this is where things get tricky, and we risk hitting spoiler territory. That’s because he’s expected to wear Boba Fett’s armor, even though he doesn’t play against Fett himself.

Slashfilm reports that he will be playing Cobb Vanth, a character from the Chuck Wendig Aftermath novels. He is the sheriff of a town on Tatooine, and wears Mandalorian armor recovered from the remains of Jabba the Hutt’s barge (wrecked in Return of the Jedi). You can guess who that once belonged to, and it gives us a hint as to how Morrison’s Fett appearance might play into things.

Just as exciting, Terminator and Aliens star Michael Biehn will also be joining the second season. His role is almost unknown, but he will be another bounty hunter, and this will be his most prominent role since 2007’s Grindhouse.

WWE star Sasha Banks is also rumored to be joining the show in its second season. It is unknown how important his role is, so it could be anything from a new co-lead to a one-episode cameo.

Who will write and direct the second season?

Behind the scenes, Jon Favreau, who is a production and directing expert and brought us Iron Man and The Jungle Book, is the show’s lead writer and host, though he’s assisted by Star Wars: Clone Wars TV veteran Dave. Filoni.

Season 2 Favreau makes his directorial debut on the series, and others include Rick Famuyiwa returning from season 1, Carl Weathers getting behind the camera, and both Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Planet Terror) and Peyton Reed (Ant-Man) confirmed that they will direct at least one episode each.

What to expect from season two

As the trailer shows, it looks like Mando will try to reunite Baby Yoda with his people, as the Armorer ordered (as she says, “this is the way”). However, it appears that the two have a strong bond now, so this may cause some problems and conflicts that The Mandalorian runs into.
