Samsung brings its Chromebook 4 and Chromebook 4+ laptops to classrooms
(classrooms) After several years of absence by Samsung in the sale of laptops in Spain, the manufacturer returns to the scene with two Chromebook models aimed this time at the education market.
The company is aware that there is great competition in this area, but according to the study carried out by IPSOS, the laptop continues to be the most used device for school online education with a percentage of 87%, followed by the tablet with 64%.
In this way, the new Samsung equipment is the Chromebook 4 and the Chromebook 4+ whose screen size is 11.6 inches and 15.6 inches respectively, with that of the second model supporting Full HD quality and resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The Chromebook 4 has a lower entry price, so it is designed to guarantee mobility and without a doubt, it will be the main choice for primary or secondary school students whose content creation needs are more basic.
For its part, the Chromebook 4+ has a larger screen with a display ratio of 80%, which guarantees an improved experience in handling multimedia content. Both guarantee autonomy close to 12 hours of use.
It stands out for its simplicity in design and lightness, with just one USB C port, another USB A and a microSD card reader, in addition to the headphone jack. Both models guarantee Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, although there is no cellular connection mode.
Along with the Chrome OS operating system, the equipment includes the Google for Education and Google Classroom suite of tools, so that teachers have extra functions to be able to manage classes and communicate with students by videoconference.
Samsung has developed the Samsung Smart School program in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Education of the Autonomous Communities of Spain to help in the adaptation of education and the digital capacities of students and teachers.
